channelAustin's Program Department gives first priority to locally produced programs and second priority to programs that have not previously aired.
Producers have several programming options:
- Live programs
- Taped programs
- Live series
- Taped series
Live or taped series programs appear weekly at the same time and on the same channel.
Producers can request that a non-series live or taped program be played at a specific date, time and channel, but most non-series programs are scheduled based on channel availability.
A producer improves his or her chances for having a non-series program play at a specific date, time, and channel by submitting a special request form more than 21 days in advance.
All programs must be accompanied by a signed Program Contract. This contract includes Warranty Agreements stating that the Producer's content is not defamatory, obscene, illegal, or violating copyright laws.
