iYouth’s Film Festival is all about you – your voice – and your story!
Our iYouth Film Festival is being reimagined for our final year. This one-day festival takes place Saturday June 11th before our Filmmakers Boot Camp Live show. This is your chance to meet and learn from professionals who serve as producers, directors, cinematographers, production sound mixers and editors in Central Texas’ indie film industry!
Your entry in the iYouth Film Festival guarantees your place in exciting seminars and meet-ups with our judges! Pros who have helped us in the past include Golden Globe winners Cathleen Sutherland, producer and director Richard Linklater, award winning cinematographer PJ Raval, director/writer Kat Candler, editor extraordinaire Sandra Adair and many more!
The festival moves to a new location this year. The schedule of events include screening the best of with the judges in attendance to seminars where you can meet and interact with the experts in the filmmaking industry. For just a $5 entry fee – you can win awesome prizes! (Filmmakers Boot Camp crew can enter for free!) And the one thing that hasn’t changed, is that all your films are in competition for the grand prize of $1,000 for Best of Fest!!!
Anyone in Central Texas of middle or high school age at the time of the film’s production can enter, so get your 2015 or 2016 film ready! THE SUBMISSION DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO MAY 27th! All entries must be submitted online.

FILMMAKERS BOOT CAMP
Besides sleeping late - what are your plans the 1st week of summer break?
How cool would it be to win $1,000 and share it with your favorite filmmaking crew?
Ever wonder what it's like to be on live TV presenting your movie masterpiece to a panel of judges?
iYouth’s 5th annual Filmmakers Boot Camp promises to be better than ever!
What better way for young filmmakers like you to start the summer, than by joining us for the fifth and final year of Filmmakers Boot Camp? In our action-packed 5 day week, you and a crew of 5-7 filmmakers will learn how to make the best short film possible from industry pros. You’ll work with professional equipment to create your masterpiece that competes on Live on TV for the chance to win $1000.
Sign up by yourself, or come with a group of your most creative friends. For $100 anyone between the ages of 14 and 18 can participate in this awesome experience which takes place June 6 to June 10 with the live show on the 11th. This cost includes free meals for the week and admission to your live show, as well as our Film Festival that Saturday.
June 6 - you train with the pros to learn the skills you need for this filmmaking extravaganza
June 7 - you’ll test your skills, and your crew while competing for crew cash to use later in the week.
June 8, 9 & 10 - you and your crew go on location at area restaurants that will be your production office and possible set for your film.
June 11 - is YOUR LIVE SHOW when your film competes against the other crews’ to see who wins the $1,000 prize!
We want to make sure everyone can register for the Filmmakers Boot Camp.
So we are giving away four (4) scholarships based on financial need.
The scholarships cover the registration fee for the Boot Camp (a value of $100 each) and are made available on a first come, first serve basis.
